AETHER LABS MTB – LEGAL DISCLAIMERS & PRIVACY POLICY
PART 1: LEGAL DISCLAIMER & PERFORMANCE LIMITS
1. HEAT SENSITIVITY & INSTALLATION LIABILITY
Installation of the Blade Guard Professional Frame Protection System requires the use of a heat gun or hair dryer. By proceeding with the installation, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Guard Temperature & Safety Compliance: The installation procedure relies entirely on monitoring the outer surface temperature of the Blade Guard. It is the user's sole responsibility to follow the step-by-step instructions to keep the guard within the recommended application range of 80°C–85°C (176°F–185°F). Maintaining this target range ensures the underlying frame and paint finish remain completely protected and well within safe limits.
Damage Waiver: Aether Labs MTB is not liable for structural damage to carbon fiber frames, or damage to clearcoats and paint finishes, resulting from the application of excessive heat outside of the recommended or instructed temperature range.
Mandatory Monitoring: The use of an infrared thermometer to monitor surface temperatures during installation is strictly required to prevent "hot spots" & overheating.
2. PERFORMANCE LIMITS & DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
The Blade Guard is engineered as a high-performance, sacrificial barrier designed to mitigate damage from scratches, rock strikes, and cable rub.
Balanced Design: The product was designed to achieve an optimal balance of impact durability, lightweight performance, and premium fit and finish. These factors were weighed equally during development to ensure protection without compromising the bicycle's aesthetics or handling.
No Guarantee of Absolute Protection: While the Blade Guard provides a significant layer of defense, it is not an indestructible shield. Aether Labs MTB does not warrant or guarantee that the system will protect against every type of impact, including high-velocity crashes, pointed impacts, or extreme structural stress.
Structural Integrity: This product is a surface protector and is not intended to provide structural reinforcement. Aether Labs MTB is not responsible for frame failures, cracks, or dents sustained while the product is in use.
3. ADHESIVE INTEGRITY & INSTALLATION ERRORS
Because the Blade Guard is a DIY modular system, the quality of the bond depends entirely on the user's adherence to the installation guide.
No Second Chances: Once the adhesive liner is removed and the adhesive is exposed to moisture, fingerprints, or trail dirt, unbonded edges are contaminated permanently.
Installation Warranty: Aether Labs MTB is not responsible for the replacement of components that fail to bond due to improper frame preparation, inadequate heat application, or contamination during assembly.
Safety Warning: Do not ride the bicycle until all edges are 100% bonded and the system has cured for 24 hours.
4. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aether Labs MTB and its owners shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages—including property damage or personal injury—arising from the use, misuse, or installation of this product. By installing this system, you assume all inherent risks associated with bicycle modification and maintenance.
