Aether Labs MTB – Return & Warranty Policy
1. 30-Day Return Policy (Unused Items)
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. You may return any product purchased directly from our website within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund or exchange, subject to the following conditions:
The product must be completely unused and uninstalled.
For the Blade Guard system, the protective adhesive liner must be fully intact and unpeeled. Once the adhesive liner is removed, the item is considered used and is no longer eligible for a standard return.
The product must be returned in its original packaging with all included tools, wipes, and accessories.
Customers are responsible for shipping costs unless the return is due to a verified manufacturing defect.
2. Used & Installed Products
Except in cases of a verified manufacturing defect, refunds or returns will not be provided for used, modified, or installed products. As detailed in our installation guide, the Blade Guard is a DIY modular system that relies entirely on proper user execution for a successful bond. We cannot accept returns or issue refunds for:
Components that fail to adhere due to improper frame preparation, inadequate heat application, or contamination during assembly.
Blade Guard segments that were damaged, stretched, or destroyed during a "one-shot" installation attempt.
3. Limited Warranty & Manufacturing Defects
Aether Labs MTB warrants its products against verified defects in materials and workmanship at the time of receipt. If you believe your product has a manufacturing defect, please contact us immediately before attempting installation.
What is Covered:
Factory flaws in the guard material, modular interlocking joints, or adhesive backing prior to installation.
3D Printing & Cosmetic Characteristics:
Nature of Manufacturing: Because our products are manufactured using 3D printing technology, parts are subject to minor surface variations or imperfections inherent to the additive manufacturing process.
Technology Limitations: While Aether Labs MTB does everything possible to deliver a flawless finish and premium product, please understand the limitations of the technology. These minor cosmetic variations do not affect the structural integrity or performance of the guard and are not considered manufacturing defects.
What is NOT Covered:
Installation Damage: Structural damage to bicycle frames (carbon or aluminum), or damage to clearcoats and paint finishes resulting from the application of excessive heat during the installation process. It is the user’s sole responsibility to ensure frame temperatures do not exceed 60°C (140°F) at any time.
Adhesive Contamination: Edge lifting or adhesion failure caused by trail dirt, moisture, fingerprints, or improper cleaning prior to the full 24-hour cure period.
Normal Wear & Tear or Crashes: The Blade Guard is engineered as a high-performance, sacrificial barrier to mitigate damage from scratches, rock strikes, and cable rub. It is not an indestructible shield and does not warrant against frame failures, cracks, or dents sustained while the product is in use, or from high-velocity impacts, pointed impacts, and extreme structural stress.
